Recording on location, or remote recording, is the most challenging even with the astonishing advances in today’s modern recording technology.  For classical music, or any acoustical performance the symphony hall or favorite church is as much a part of the sound as the instruments the musicians play.   To truly capture the sound of a performance, the fine balance of musician and environment needs to be captured.

            In recording a live performance the interfacing with the personnel at the location is critical.  Knowing where to setup, how to interface with the re-enforcement engineer and their system, is critical for a good concert recording.
